Iron Pigs

The day after the Phillies game, we went to an Iron Pigs game, they are the triple A team for the Phillies, and they happen to be in Allentown. It was really fun, and the Pigs won, so that's always a plus.

Here are some notes:

-They assigned one guy, on the opposing team, as like the 'strikeout batter' and every time the guy struck out a donation was made to a local charity. Two things, how do they pick the guy who is to become the strikeout batter? Every time he would come up to bat they would remind the crowd that he was the strikeout batter, that had to mess with his head, [he ended up striking out like twice (out of four)]

-There was this lady sitting next to me, who was incredibly in to everything that was going on. During the fireworks she would be like 'oh I love the purple,' 'oh I love the white,' 'oh I love that one' and she was extremely excited about everything.

-Now Phillie fans are not really known for their crowd participation, but every time they would sound the charge horn, it would be extremely muffled and lackluster-just like any Phillie fan.

-*sound of shattering glass* announcer: 'Need a window replacement? Check out so and so today.'

-There was a wedding that day, and the bride 'tossed' the bouquet into the crowd with the hot dog chucker gun thing.

-Pun Nuptials- just random.

-Whenever the opposing team made an out they would play a song- like 'Dream On', 'Bye, Bye Baby', or 'Have a Nice Day'

Now here are some picture. I took a lot of pictures of the sky because it was just gorgeous:

Entrance.

The Stadium.

The other side.

The field.

The wedding party- who would really have a wedding at a ballpark? These two apparently.

Players sitting around in the dugout before the start.

Clock. Also where they showed the speed of the balls.

Bullpen.

The have a grass area that you can sit at for $5.

Bullpen. From the front.

Inning over!

The two mascots: Ferrous and Fefe. They really love the whole 'iron' theme.

Nothing more American than Coke, baseball, and the American Flag.

The sky reminds me of something out of mordor.

Ferrous had a race against a little kid...

...he cheated and got an early jump...

...only to pull a hamstring halfway through the race around the bases.

The wedding party had many activities throughout the game.

You got to wonder if the players are just like, "the shit we have to deal with being in triple-A baseball."

The wedding party had a dance off...

...and the men won, but a lot.

The grounds crew in between the 6th inning, took care of the field, and then did a little dance.

Every time the pigs scored a run, fireworks would shoot out of the coke bottle. Kind of phallic, no?

Random pig decoration.

Pigs win!

Fireworks time:
They had us count down from ten, and then all the lights when out, and the only thing still kind of lit was the score board.

City of Brotherly Love

The other day, my mom my step dad and I went to a Phillies game, our first, and probably only, venture down to Citizens Bank park. Overall the day was fun, even though the Phils lost and our seats were directly under the sun, it was still loads of fun. Here are some pics:

The Entrance.

Looking out, during batting practice.

The cityscape off in the distance.

Statue and bell.

We didn't get to see the bell ring, since the Phils were shutout.

Our view from our seats.

Sky.

Guy pitching to Chase Utley.

Cole pitching to that guy.

Cole pitching to this guy.

Chase and Howard, ready for a play.

Inning over.

Big screen, kind of behind us.

Pat the Bat.

Cole pitching, Jimmy waiting.

Fuller picture of the score board.

Random pirate reference.

Chase on second...nice ass...

The Stadium, all full.

Other side of the stadium.

Phil chillin out in the shade. He's in th straw hat.

Philly Phanatic flashing the other team...

...Rallying the crowd...

...giving the pitcher the bad mojo...

...chillin out on the dugout...

...having a dance off with these two kids.

Very strange picture of Dan Uggla...I wonder if they took it right after the All Star game?

Stadium as we were leaving.

And the Philadelphia skyline.

Just Cuz...We're Freaks [take 2]

So Akita and I went to the theatre to see Pineapple Express, a pretty ok movie, and since the theatre added new stand up thing, we had to take more pictures.

We're mummies

Dancing with the mamma mia! people. I love Colin Firth.

Mine is totally bigger than yours.

We're hanging on for dear life.

We're floating in space.

Akita with...Rainn Wilson...

Me: "I'm with Rainn Wilson and stroking his penis"
look over and see two innocent boys standing down the hallway, probably heard me (because my voice carries) and are now not so innocent any more.

Office! YAY!

Oh My God! It's almost time for The Office to start back up again, and I'm pretty excited. This commercial made my week. There is so much from the finale that really jazzed me up. For instance, the introduction of Holly, who seems to be a good fit in the Office, she totally is involved in the best joke of the whole finale (Kevin retarded? awesome!) even if this means one of my favorite characters, after Jim of course, leaves for good, I can deal...maybe. I did really love Toby, he's so the Eeyore of the show. Also you have Angela making out with Dwigt (and yes I spelled that wrong on purpose, Office fans will get it). And then there's the whole Jim/Pam non engagement thing. This season sounds like it's going to be promising, I read the first episode is going to be about weight loss(?), could be good. All I know is that I can't wait!!

Oh yeah, and if you haven't already, check out the webisodes from this summer entitled Kevin's Loan, it's like a nice little dose to help you get through the withdrawal period that is the summer.

Episode 1:

More Bark than Bite

Whenever I'm out of the room, and someone texts me and the sound of the office theme rings through my house, I get really excited, until I read the text, which contains one to two words.

It's a whole lot of build up for not a whole heck of a lot.  It would be like the orchestra playing the overture, and then show's over.

Best of Show

So You Think You Can Dance is over, a new winner crowned in Joshua, a winner I'm pretty happy about, seeing as how he was part of my favorite couple, along with Katee. Upon review it was a pretty good season, with some fun numbers so I thought I would put up some of my favorite numbers of the year.

5 guys name moe: They should really let Nigel choreograph more numbers. This number is fun and upbeat, and extremely entertaining:

Joshua & Katee-Broadway: This was really the number that made them my favorite couple. Sure their No Air routine was good, but along with this one it showcased their versatility and overall awesomeness. Usually I don't really like Tyce Diorio numbers, their usually lackluster and don't uphold broadway. But this one was just pure entertainment:

Matt & Kourtni- Contemporary: For her first time choreographing on the show, Sonya didn't do a bad job. I enjoyed the comic book theme:

Katee & Twitch- Contemporary: As much as it sucked that Katee and Joshua got split up (because they are so perfect together), this number was pretty cool, and not the typical Mia Michaels routine:

Joshua & Chelsie- Argentine Tango: The tango is probably the only ballroom I can deal with, because ballroom sucks ass, and this dance was fun and sexy:

Joshua & Katee- Lyrical: It was their last number that they danced together and it was choreographed by Wade Robson, who is amazing, and criminally underused this season (because he was too busy totally creeping me out). But this routine is so emotional especially with the song, which I now have stuck in my head and like had to download it immediately:

Twitch & Kherington- Hip Hop: I wasn't a huge fan of Kherington, I don't know something just bugged me about her, but I liked Twitch and this routine:

Joshua & Katee- Bollywood: Way to go SYTYCD, you added a pretty cool genre in Bollywood, and thank god these two got it, or who knows how bad it could have turned out:

Debbie Allen Academy: When are they going to add tap to SYTYCD? Cuz this is awesome:

And just for fun:
Not season 4, but one of my favorite Wade Robson routines:
